An overview of the process: I've found my life to be a reflection of all that I believe. My beliefs are the foundation for my thinking and 'my body' or 'my life' is a reflection of these thoughts. My beliefs are also the foundation for the spirit, the state of Being, that I choose. Fear-based beliefs are the foundation for lower realm life experiences and beliefs that are aligned with Love are the foundation for Upper Realm life experiences. Once I was tooled with the awareness that lower realm beliefs are the source of the lower realm circumstances in my life, I chose to facilitate change in my life via a process that I call Journaling for Transformation.
I am willing to be responsible
for my own self-healing, I am.
Journaling for Transformation has been my means of self-healing. I always have a comfy place prepared to sit in the morning, a blanket, my journal, an inspirational book, a pen, a candle and a mug or two of strong hot coffee. On beautiful summer days I may choose to sit on the porch to watch the sunrise. On cold winter days I may get a fire ready in the fireplace and sit on the couch.
I am willing to sit in stillness and look within, I am.
The visual delight of a fire, be it from a candle, the sun or a fireplace, the burn of the sulfur in my nose as I light a match, the sensation of the wind through the porch screens, the texture of the blanket on my lap, the comfort of the warm mug, the rich scent of the coffee... All of these sensory experiences help to bring me into a state of conscious awareness that is necessary preparation for doing the work of transformation within.
I am willing to feel, I am.
The healing process begins with Awareness of what I feel: emotions and energies. The Upper Realm emotions and energies feel good. The lower realm feels anywhere from downright horrible to just irritating. The parts that are irritating are the places that are ready for change. These tend to be the things that have been ‘on my mind.’ Each day I seek awareness of the lower realm circumstances that are irritating me.
Sometimes I think of the process as pulling back layers of an onion. There are many layers of the lower realm that I have to deal with. But each day I just choose one layer; the thinnest outer layer. I leave the deep inner layers alone. They will come to the surface to be dealt with at a later time. Day by day I deal with one layer. With my daily dedication to this transformative process I am slowly and steadily evolving and growing.
I am willing to see things from a new perspective, I am.
One of the biggest challenges for me in climbing out of the lower realm has been to stay focused on changing myself. Often times I remain focused on the falseness that plagues other people and all of the lower realm choices that they have made that I am affected by. I make the error of thinking that the obvious solution to a problem is for other people to change their ways. Although it is indeed true that we all have work to do in aligning ourselves with the Upper Realm, we all need to focus on our own individual work.
I am focused on cleaning up my own abode, I am.
The complete journaling process has six steps, but I recommend starting with just the first step, Journaling for Awareness. When you are comfortable Journaling for Awareness, then switch to a two-step process: Journaling for Awareness and Journaling for Acceptance. Keep practicing the Journaling for Transformation process adding another step when you feel inclined to do so. Eventually you will have an extremely powerful transformative tool at your fingertips. All it requires is a quiet place to sit in stillness, paper and a pen.
