Awareness of Optimism
an excerpt from Live Beautifully: A Book to Sit With, by Doris Wedige
Reflections on spring cleaning...
I’m going to begin a new slant in my gratitude journaling. I am going to express gratitude for Life. Not just the parts that I have perceived to be good, but all of it. In looking back I will know that all of my life experiences have been neither good nor bad, but that they were perfect for the evolution of my soul. I will accept them. I will feel gratitude for all that is. I will choose to be nourished by the memories of all that felt good and I will choose to let go of the negativity from resisting anything that I perceived to be bad. It will be a cleaning out of my closet so to speak. All skeletons of the past are going to have to find a new place to reside because I’m doing a major spring cleaning job of anything in my lifetime that doesn’t fit the new me. The new me is optimistic and sunny no matter if I am looking forward to my future or back at my past. I’m going to be sporting a new mental outlook this season. It will be a fresh new look. One of Acceptance, Peace and Joy. Please join me in cleaning out your own closet. |
I intend to joyfully accept Life.
