I'm new to this website/blogging thing so please bear with me while I get it figured out. My 27-year-old computer-savvy daughter tried to explain blogging to me last night. It seems I've posted a few blogs, but I missed the point in some regards. She tells me that this is an opportunity to converse with you. So here goes:
Hi. My name is Doris. I'm an old-fashioned kind of girl that lives in the countryside of Wisconsin. I love being a homemaker- cooking, gardening, eating and gathering with my family and friends. My life pretty much revolves around the kitchen.
I love arranging the furniture and all of the treasures in our home. Each holiday or change in season seems to prompt a total transformation.
I love our dog, Lilly, a golden retriever, our two cats, Luna and Nora, our chickens, Henny Penny is our favorite, and the flocks of birds that come to our feeders.
I love Nature. I love camping, biking, swimming, but most of all just wandering around the woods and fields delighting in Mother Nature's wonders.
I love being a wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma, daughter, sister granddaughter, aunt and a friend.
I love my very ordinary simple life.
So that's my introduction. I'm not sure if it meets the norm for blogging, but it's time for me to break out of worrying about living up to anyone's expectations and just be me.
I yearn to reach out and connect to others that are on the Live Beautifully Path. I yearn to know who you are. I yearn to create a gathering place where we can encourage and inspire each other.
