An excerpt from my journaling...

December 4th

Lately I’ve been feeling stressed…  to the point that I’m getting concerned for my health.  I need to do something about it.  Here is my idea.  I need to relax.  I need to have time in my day to truly relax.  I’ve been taking time to do relaxing things, but my mind is not relaxing.  For example, if I go for a walk, I’m thinking about all of the things I need to get done & I’m planning how I’m going to do it.  I need to rest my brain.

One thing I need to do to accomplish that is to feel good about what I’ve done in a day and feel as though it has been enough.  I have this constant drain from thinking that I can never do enough.  There is so much to do in the world.

I’m going to begin writing what I’ve accomplished each day.  Then hopefully I can feel good about letting it be enough and feel as though I can justify relaxing.

So here goes, I hope this is the start of something good.

I can feel good about how I spent the hours of my day yesterday because:

  1. I provided a warm comforting home for my family to abide in.
  2. Our three children went off to school, well-rested, bathed & clean, with smiles on their faces & attitudes ready for learning.
  3. The laundry pile was maintained to a minimum
  4. My husband & I were warm & loving
  5. I worked hard at my job, did my best & kept a cheerful face
  6. I earned the money needed to pay for our daughter to be on the swim team this month
  7. We shopped for groceries & bought nutritious food to nourish our family
  8. I worked on playing Carol of the Bells
Intention for Release
